One place for live news
from every corner of the world
NewsGlobe started as a personal problem. Living in Sweden and learning Spanish, I wanted to watch Spanish news the same way I'd watch SVT — just turn it on and listen. Finding the right channels meant digging through YouTube, hunting for live streams, bookmarking things. So I built a simple page to collect them all.
What began as a handful of Spanish channels has grown into a collection of public and independent broadcasters from over 40 countries, spanning more than 15 languages. Every channel here is free, streams live on YouTube, and requires no login or subscription.
NewsGlobe is run by one person. It's deliberately simple — without algorithms, recommendations, tracking. Just news streams, from everywhere I could find.
NewsGlobe is part of Astra & Atlantis Commons (AAC), an independent collection of projects focused on knowledge, culture, public information and open access. Other projects include research aggregation, public health data, creative writing and short essays.
Who is it for?
How it works
Every channel on NewsGlobe is a live stream hosted on YouTube by the broadcaster themselves. NewsGlobe doesn't host any video — it's a curated directory that makes these streams easy to find in one place. Click any channel to watch it embedded here, or open it directly on YouTube for full controls including auto-translated captions (availability varies by channel).
About Astra & Atlantis Commons
Astra & Atlantis Commons (AAC) is an independent collection of projects focused on knowledge, culture, public information and open access. The goal is simple: create useful, thoughtful and accessible resources that help people learn, explore, create and better understand the world.
Most AAC projects are freely available to everyone and supported through voluntary contributions. NewsGlobe is one part of that broader effort.
Missing a channel?
If you know a public or independent broadcaster that should be here — a national news channel, a regional broadcaster, or a free livestream in a language not yet covered — get in touch. I'm always looking to expand the collection.
